“The best we can be is a great partner.”
Andrew Sciame counts his father, Frank, as the greatest influence in his professional life. “He gave me a great name. He challenged me to live up to it.” Andrew has carved his own identity, making his own name known and respected in New York City’s hyper-competitive construction industry.
Upon graduation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a commercial pilot with a degree in Aeronautical Science, Andrew joined F.J. Sciame Construction as an assistant field superintendent. In spite of his formal training and passion for aviation, Andrew instinctively followed his true and deep love of construction.
Beginning, as he says, “right where I was supposed to, as a laborer,” Andrew Sciame learned the construction business from the ground up. In a little over a decade, Andrew has earned his reputation as an enthusiastic, energetic and trustworthy builder. He is personally responsible for delivering the construction, restoration and renovation of numerous Manhattan landmarks. His construction management method brings fresh perspective and much-needed choice to Palm Beach.
“I am a builder. Where I make my mark is in how we deliver a project. The process is what separates this team.”
After earning a degree in Construction Management at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts, Jim Hiler joined F.J. Sciame Construction in New York City.
Jim spent the better part of a decade delivering successful projects as a project manager on large-scale commercial and institutional projects situated in Manhattan. He then relocated to Florida where he led the team of a noted South Florida luxury homebuilder.
Like most of the members of the Sciame Homes’ leadership team, Jim’s life has been in and around the industry. Fascinated by building since childhood, he spent his high school and college weekends and vacations learning all the trades of the modern construction project. Custom homebuilding and remodeling is where he found his stride and his passion.
“For me building has always been about the meld of structure and art. The structure entails the systems, the method, their interplay and the resulting functionality. There are so many factors that make the art. But, seeing it you always know.”
